Code of Conduct
Last updated: July 2026
1. Purpose
This code sets the professional and ethical standard expected of every therapist practising through ATC Connect, on top of the obligations of your own registration body.
2. Professional standards
- Practise within the scope of your registration, training, and competence.
- Keep your registration, insurance, and qualifications current and accurately represented on your profile.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients at all times.
- Obtain informed consent before using AI-assisted note-taking, telehealth, or any data-sharing feature.
3. Clinical notes and records
Clinical notes must be accurate, timely, and reviewed by you personally before being finalised — including anything AI-assisted. Notes must never be shared with a client, or anyone else, outside the limited circumstances described in our Clinical Governance policy.
4. Respectful conduct
Treat clients, colleagues, and ATC Connect staff with respect. Discrimination, harassment, or exploitation of the therapeutic relationship will not be tolerated.
5. Reporting concerns
If you become aware of conduct by another therapist that breaches this code, please report it through our Complaints Policy or, for serious or confidential concerns, our Whistleblower Policy.
6. Consequences of breach
Breaches may result in a warning, mandatory remediation, suspension, or removal from the platform, in line with the Therapist Membership Agreement.
